January Scripture Writing Plan 2026–Less of Me, More of Him
January is the perfect time to start a new Scripture writing habit! This January Scripture writing plan is new for 2026 and will help you focus on humility, surrender, and a deeper dependence on the Lord.
Is “spend more time with the Lord,” or “read the Bible more,” on your list of New Year’s resolutions this year? I feel like no matter how much I read the Bible in a year, I always need more.

But the desire to read the Bible more and the actual time to do so are two different things. As a homeschooling and work-from-home mom, I often feel like my days are stretched thin.
While I would like to read the Bible every day, it can be challenging to fit it into my already busy schedule.
A few years ago, I stumbled on the practice of daily Scripture writing, and it changed my life.

Why is Scripture Writing So Powerful?
The Bible is a powerful book. In fact, it’s far more than just a book. It is God’s message to us, giving us everything we need to live God-honoring lives.
The Bible tells us that, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16)
Our enemy, Satan, knows that he can weaken us as Christian mothers and daughters of God if he can prevent us from reading the Bible.
He lies to us, telling us that we don’t have time. He whispers in our ears that we need hours to study, or a complicated Bible study.
But we don’t. Even a few intentional minutes spent in God’s Word gives us the strength we need live for Jesus.

Scripture Writing Plan for January 2026
A new year is a great time to have more of Jesus in your life. Maybe you’re looking to read the Bible more, have a steady prayer routine, or go deeper in Bible study.
No matter your goal, this Scripture writing plan is a great place to start.
