Hey there, and welcome! I’m Lyndsie — an author, homeschool mom of two energetic boys, wife to my best friend, and the founder of Flourishing Mama. I’m so glad you found your way here.
If we were chatting over a cup of coffee (mine’s usually half-drunk and reheated), I’d tell you that I don’t have faith all figured out. I’m a real mom with a full life, plenty of distractions, and a deep desire to know God more.
For a long time, I knew I should read my Bible. But too often, I would read a few verses, close it, and move on with my day without really understanding what I had read—or knowing how it applied to the life I was actually living.
I didn’t want to simply check “Bible reading” off my list. I wanted to know what God’s Word said, understand what it meant, and most of all, know Him through its pages.

Everything began to change when I stopped treating time in God’s Word as one more thing I needed to accomplish and started approaching Scripture with a desire to truly know God.
Scripture writing taught me to slow down and notice His Word.
Bible study taught me to dig deeper and understand what I was reading.
Prayer taught me to bring what I was learning into my everyday life.
Teaching Scripture to my boys showed me the beauty of building a family rooted in God’s truth.
I discovered that we don’t need perfect quiet times, hours of uninterrupted study, or a theology degree to know the Bible. We can open God’s Word right in the middle of our ordinary, messy lives and learn to understand it one passage at a time.
That’s why I created Flourishing Mama—for real women who want more than surface-level faith. I write Bible studies, devotionals, Scripture writing plans, and books to help you slow down, understand God’s Word, find encouragement in its pages, and grow in your relationship with Him.
Because I’ve come to believe that a flourishing life isn’t a life where we finally have everything together. It’s a life rooted deeply in Christ.
