Jesus performed so many miracles while He was on the earth, and this is one of my favorites! The story has applications for younger and older kids alike.

It’s a great way to introduce kids to the story of Jesus healing ten men all at once! But it’s also an amazing lesson about gratitude, faith, and loving our enemies.

Sunday school teachers, parents, and youth workers can use these coloring sheets to enhance the lesson and drive home the truths of this powerful Bible story.

The Story of the Ten Lepers

In Luke 17, Jesus traveled to Jerusalem and passed through Samaria and Galilee. As He entered one of the villages, ten men met Him, standing far off.

They cried out with a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”

When Jesus saw them, He told them to go and show themselves to the priest. As the ten lepers ran to the priest, they realized they had been healed! One of the lepers, realizing he was healed, turned and went back.

He fell at the feet of Jesus and glorified God. He thanked Jesus for healing him. This man was a Samaritan–not even a friend of the Jewish people.

Jesus marveled that he was the only one to give thanks for this miracle. Because of his faith, he was not only healed but his sins were forgiven, as well.
