In this post: Check out 12 summer Christian fiction books I can’t wait to read in 2025! Save this post for later so you’ll always have something to read.
There’s just something about summer and a good book, isn’t there? Whether you’re curled up on the porch swing, packing a novel in your beach bag, or sneaking in a few pages during nap time, a fun story makes everything better.
This summer, I’ve got a stack of Christian fiction I’m so excited to dive into — full of romance, adventure, faith, and plenty of page-turning goodness.

I thought it would be fun to round up some of the new releases (and a few new-to-me finds) that are at the top of my reading list. If you’re looking for a great book to add to your summer TBR, here are a few you might love too!
12 Summer Christian Fiction Books You’ll Love
Whether you’re staying home or taking your dream vacation this summer, one of these books is sure to make its way into your bag!

The Summer of You and Me by Denise Hunter
A sweet, emotional story about healing, second chances, and unexpected love. Maggie is finally ready to move on after her husband’s death, but when a mysterious stranger shows up who looks just like her late husband, old wounds are reopened—and new feelings are stirred up with someone she never expected.

Some Like It Scot by Pepper Basham
An American travel writer known for her misadventures meets a grumpy (and charming!) Scottish woodworker in this cozy, small-town romance set against the stunning backdrop of Scotland. It’s giving all the cozy, kilt-wearing, enemies-to-sweethearts vibes I absolutely love.

Everything’s Coming Up Rosie by Courtney Walsh
If you’ve ever chased a dream only to wonder if it’s still the right one, this story is for you. Rosie thinks her acting career is finally about to take off—until life sends her back home to direct a “theater production” starring…senior citizens. (Not exactly Broadway.) But sometimes the dreams we didn’t plan turn out even better than the ones we did.

The Collector of Burned Books by Roseanna M. White
If you love historical fiction, this World War II story sounds incredible. Set in Nazi-occupied Paris, it follows a brave librarian and a reluctant German soldier fighting to preserve banned books—and the truth that tyrants want to erase. I can’t wait to get lost in this one.

The Voice We Find by Nicole Deese
This one sounds like such a heartwarming story! A failed Broadway actress and a grumpy (but secretly tender-hearted) sound engineer team up on an audiobook project—and find unexpected healing, faith, and second chances along the way. Plus, it features found family and sibling bonds, which always get me.

What Not to Do on Vacation by Rachel Magee
Sister shenanigans + fake dating + beachside romance = a total win. When Cora’s sisters bet her she can’t find true love using a dating app, she matches with a swoony guy…but what starts as a joke might turn into something real. If you love lighthearted, funny rom-coms with low spice, this one looks like a must-read.

The Perfect Rom-Com by Melissa Ferguson
A behind-the-scenes look at the world of ghostwriting with a fun, romantic twist! A hopeful writer gets her big break ghostwriting for a famous author—but it’s the agent she least expected who just might steal her heart. This one is full of heart, humor, and happy sighs.

First Love, Second Draft by Becca Kinzer
A baseball star ex-husband. A struggling romance author. A second chance they didn’t see coming. First Love, Second Draft promises sweet banter, emotional depth, and a feel-good sports romance that’s clean but full of sparks. I cannot wait to read this one!

If All Else Sails by Emma St. Clair
An enemies-to-lovers, forced-proximity rom-com? Yes, please! In this one, a grumpy hockey player and his nemesis (aka his best friend’s sister) are stuck sharing a tiny, rundown cottage—and then set sail together in a boat that’s about as smooth as their relationship. Full of heart, humor, and summer adventure, this sounds like the perfect beach read!

The Lawyer and the Laundress by Christine Hill Suntz
Marriage of convenience, historical drama, and a plucky heroine trying to protect her secrets? Yes, please! Set in 1830s Canada during a time of political unrest, this story promises romance, danger, and a marriage that might just turn into something real.

Lady Maybe by Julie Klassen
A Regency-era mystery full of secrets, identity twists, and a hint of romance. After a terrible carriage accident, a young woman wakes up with no memory of who she really is—and a dangerous mystery to untangle. If you love Jane Austen vibes with a dash of suspense, this sounds like a summer winner.

The Codebreaker’s Daughter by Amy Lynn Green
Espionage, mother-daughter secrets, and WWII codebreaking? Sign me up. This dual-timeline story follows a young woman working behind the scenes in Washington D.C.—and uncovering the secret past her mother tried to leave behind. I’m already hooked.
