It’s an amazing time to start sharing faith with our kids, reminding them that Easter is about so much more than bunnies and eggs. Today, I’m sharing some favorite Christian Easter activities for kids that will share the Easter story in a meaningful way.

I love the Easter season for so many reasons. It is the beginning of spring and a reminder that winter does not last forever. Easter is a time for new life, new beginnings, and a beautiful picture of God’s love.
I don’t buy a lot of new clothes for myself, but I always buy a new Easter outfit! And the Southern mama in me tries to get matchy-matchy with my boys and husband on Easter Sunday. They’re so not into it, but they humor me!
While I love the pretty colors, Easter lilies, and a great ham for lunch (yum!), I want Easter to mean so much more for my kids. Holy Week and Easter activities are a great way to encourage your kids to understand that Easter is all about the resurrection of Jesus, and not all about Easter bunnies.

Make a mini garden with a tomb and rock to roll away on Easter morning. Get creative and encourage kids to make it beautiful as you talk about the special events that led up to the women coming to the tomb.
Jesus is the Best Part of Easter
Easter traditions are something that many of us grew up with. We have memories of Easter egg hunts, baskets filled with treats, and a big meal with loved ones. But there is a real reason why we celebrate Easter, and that is the Bible story about Jesus’ resurrection.
It’s the best thing about this holiday, and it’s something we want to share with our kiddos. Jesus is what Easter is all about, and by telling the story and teaching our children about His love, we are passing down a tradition that truly matters.
So yes, we’ll still have our fun Easter activities, but we’ll also make sure our kids know that Jesus is the best part of it all. Grab the glue sticks and glitter, prep the paints, and warm up your singing voices.
