Summer is winding down, and it’s time to hit the books again. Some of us are excited about the prospect of a new school year.
It’s a time to get back into our routines, consistent bedtimes, and (hopefully) cooler weather.
Others dread this time of year, as school can be stressful for everyone. As kids get older, the work gets harder, the drama heavier, and the world scarier.

Even if you’re like me and homeschool your kids, you worry about them. You hope and pray that they will make wise choices and have good friends.
Moms always want the best for our kids, but there is so much out of our control. Thankfully, as much as we love our kids, God loves them more.
He sees them when we can’t, and gives the strength and wisdom they need.
Praying for Our Kids as They Go Back to School
As the school year begins, many of us find ourselves juggling schedules, supplies, emotions—and maybe a little stress.
Whether your kids are starting preschool, middle school, or anywhere in between, one thing stays the same: we want to cover them in prayer.
That’s why I created this 5-Day Back-to-School Prayer Challenge just for moms.
Each day focuses on a different area of your child’s life—wisdom, friendships, protection, character, and identity—with a Scripture to pray, a short prompt, and a practical way to speak truth into their day.
Here’s a quick peek at what we’ll cover:
- Day 1: Wisdom and Learning
- Day 2: Friendships and Kindness
- Day 3: Protection and Peace
- Day 4: Integrity and Character
- Day 5: Purpose and Identity
Whether your mornings are peaceful or a little chaotic, these short, powerful prayers will help you start each day with intention and faith.
Plus, you’ll get prayer prompts and ideas to help your kids feel your love and God’s presence in a new school year.
