About Me
Thanks for stopping by! Not Just a Stay-at-Home mom is a place where moms learn their true identity in Christ and thrive in faith, motherhood and homemaking.
I’m a Christian, wife, and stay-at-home mom to two boys whose names both start with J–and I usually can’t remember which is which. My main job is taking care of my husband and two J’s, keeping a cabinet stocked with Oreos, and clearing a walking path through the Lego. (I’m rarely successful at that last one.)
Starting My Mommy Blog
I’ve always loved writing, reading, creativity, and encouraging other stay-at-home moms. I started this blog in 2016 as a way to bring all of my favorite things together.
Being a stay-at-home mom is hard, and it’s sometimes a lonely job. When I’m feeling particularly down, I love this verse:
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Hebrews 6:10 (KJV)
Being a stay-at-home mom is a full-time job, and it’s certainly a labor of love! But God doesn’t forget these big-little things we do daily. In serving at home, we’re serving Him.
Over time I’ve worked to grow my blog into a business that helps support my family while allowing me to stay home and homeschool my boys.

Fun Facts About Me
I think I was born with a book in my hand, and reading is still one of my favorite past times!
When I’m not chasing boys, cleaning house or writing, you’ll generally find me starting a new quilt or cross stitch project…but you’ll rarely see me finish one.
I love anything and everything in a shade of navy blue or aqua, I’m obsessed with true crime and promised myself every night that I’m going to bed at 11, but never do.
I love to eat but hate to cook, so you’ll often find me watching my hubby make dinner, but I bake a delicious chocolate chip cookie and pretty amazing mac and cheese!
Are you ready to follow along with me and start thriving in a happy and faith-filled home? I’ll show you how to create the stay-at-home mom life you’ve always dreamed of having!
